COVID-19 IN CHILDREN; SOME COMMON QUESTION ANSWERED

During the first wave, only few children are affected but the second wave has affected many more children. Now fear of a third wave affecting maximum children is predicted with a lot of morbidity and few mortality.

❇️ *Why are children more affected in the 2nd wave?*

๐Ÿ”น Answer-1: As more adults are affected, treated at home so they are transmitting infection to remaining family members including children.

*Solution:* If strict home quarantine ( Attached bed room with no one entering the room) is not possible then it is better to move to an isolation center rather than infecting own family members.

๐Ÿ”น Answer-2: Children are allowed for school, tuition and playing outside thus exposed for infection.

*Role of parents:* Till children are vaccinated, avoid exposure particularly children below 2 year.

๐Ÿ”นAnswer-3: New variant are more infectious.

*Role of parents:* Read my article or watch a video on YouTube on prevention of corona infection and follow strictly.
